Abstract: What exactly is The Cloud? What should it be? There is a diversity of answers to this question and this session will explore at least two of them. Will the Cloud be a collection of (mostly) proprietary platforms, or will it truly be the next incarnation of the Web (a utility with open standards and protocols enabling ubiquitous computing)?
